Reception at the Airport

All the participants will be welcomed at the Queen Alia International Airport by the organisers of the conference. The organisers will assist them at the Airport as well as transfer them from and to the Airport upon arrival and departure. The participants will be able to recognise the organisers by indicative signs with the conference title and destination.

Protocol

The Ministers will be received at the airport according to the protocol procedures of the Jordanian government while the other participants will be welcomed at the airport by the organisers of the conference.

Registration for the Sessions

For ease of reference, indicative signs will be set throughout the main public areas of the Convention Center and you can also ask for directions at the reception of your hotel.

All the Ministers and their delegation will find their Conference folder including the badge in their room upon arrival.

If you have further questions, service staff carrying a badge "staff " will be present to assist you during the whole conference.

Badges are strictly personal.

Security Measures

Heads and all members of delegations are kindly requested to wear their registration badges during the meetings as well as during scheduled events (dinners).
The area of the conference will be protected by adequate security measures and guards, provided by the hosting country Jordan. Additional information can be obtained from the Jordan team

Working Languages during the Conference Meetings

The working languages of the conference are Arabic, English, French. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided to and from these languages (headphones).

Facilities

During the conference, all the participants may use the facilities (computer, printer, fax, internet and photocopier) available at the Business center in the Sea floor lobby.

The Conference secretariat office will be located in the Aqaba Hall.

Two VIP lounges for bilateral meetings or for side meetings have been booked for Ministers and their delegation. They are located in the Amra and Mou'tah hall.

For the 22nd of December 2008, the Press operation office will be located in the hall Petra 1. It will be equipped with computers, printers, photocopier, internet connection, telephone and fax lines.

The Press Conference hall for the press conference of the 22nd of December will be located in the hall Mount Nebo 1 and 2 and it will be equipped with sound systems with microphones, interpretation booths and headsets. Only accredited journalists will be granted access to the press conference.

Meals

An international lunch buffet will be served in the Philadelphia hall on the 21st and the 22nd of December 2008. On the 22nd of December 2008, Ministers and delegations will be served at a special table in the Philadelphia hall.

Gala Dinner

A gala dinner hosted by Jordan will be organised on the 21st of December 2008 for all the participants of the ministerial conference and of the Civil Society session.

VISA

Visa can be obtained upon the arrival to the Queen Alia Airport, except for the following countries: Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Libya, who are requested to make sure they obtain their visa from the Jordanian Embassy in their country. The holders of a non-diplomatic passport might be requested to pay a visa fee of 10 JOD (approximately 11 euros).
